How is Connexion Technologies different from my local (Phone, Internet, Television, or Security) company?
Connexion Technologies builds the telecommunications infrastructure and brings in service providers who use that infrastructure to deliver service. This helps Connexion ensure the quality of the services delivered and keeps prices for those services competitive.
Connexion Technologies built the telecommunications infrastructure in your community, meaning they installed the wires into the ground or the satellite dishes onto the roofs. Your providers utilize this network to deliver Internet, television and telephone services to you. Connexion also manages the relationship between each community and the service providers on the property, so think of Connexion as another helping hand if you are having issues and need support outside of the service provider call center.
Since Connexion Technologies installs, owns manages and maintains the network, they utilize a support staff of both employees and contractors that handles service, installations, and maintenance. Should there be a service issue in your community or in your home, the service provider will dispatch a Connexion representative to address the problem. Your service providers are primarily responsible for managing the products that you use in your home, like the channels on the TV, your Internet speed and your calling features and phone line quality.
Connexion establishes a contract with your Developer/Owners Association/Property Management Company, who realizes the value of a broadband network within a community and contracted with Connexion when the community was being built. This contract allows Connexion to arrange for the delivery of communication & entertainment services through our infrastructure into the community.
What does the small box on the outside of my house or building do?

The Network Interface Device (NID), also called the Optical Network Terminal (ONT), is the physical point on the side of the house that connects the fiber optics to the end user (i.e. phone, Internet, television). This box is the property of Connexion Technologies and should not be opened, tampered with or destroyed. If there is a problem with your NID, please contact the Connexion Technologies Customer Care Center at 800.205.8698.
The digital receiver provides access to the digital channels available through your television service provider.
Contact the assigned Service Provider at your property using their customer service phone number or call the Connexion Technologies Call Center at 800.205.8698.
If any of your services go out, contact the service provider directly using their customer service number. In the event that your services are not repaired within a reasonable time frame or you have additional concerns, you may always contact the Connexion Technologies Customer Care Center at 800.205.8698 to expedite the process.
Why are my services billed through my Owners Association or Property Management Company? (Not applicable at all properties)
Connexion Technologies and your Owners Association or property management company worked out an agreement to provide services to each resident. By billing these services through the Owners Association or management company, Connexion is able to get a discounted rate on your services and pass those savings on to you.
I have Internet service through a Connexion Technologies provider, how do I switch it to AOL or Earthlink?
You can still subscribe to AOL or Earthlink's services, but you will still have Internet service from Connexion's service provider. To keep your AOL email address you must continue to subscribe to AOL's services. This does not mean that they will be your service provider, your Internet service will still be through Connexion's service provider.
You may call your cable company and request service from them. With a valid contract, Connexion Technologies will work with your cable company to make sure they do not damage the current infrastructure when coming to your house. Connexion will grant them access across the private easement on the property.
If you are like many people and use free email services (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) then you will not be affected. If you have an existing email address through your local Internet provider, you will not be able to keep your same address. These addresses are proprietary. If you have an AOL email address, you will have to continue subscribing to their service to retain your current address. This does not mean that they will be your service provider; your Internet service will still be through Connexion's service provider.
